Good value overall

I was looking for a decent golf cart phone holder without breaking the bank. The Shaft Caddy Essentials Kit seemed like the best deal with the free shipping for over $50. It came quickly, took about 4 days to get here. The mount is sturdy, definitely worth what I paid for it.

Worked out great

Got the push cart phone mount and it was super easy to put on. My phone stayed put the whole time I was out walking the course, didn't have to worry about it falling off. Pretty happy with it, honestly.

Solid mount, minor shipping delay

I ordered the Shaft Caddy 2.0 and was impressed with how well it holds my phone, even with a bulky case. It didn't vibrate at all while I was driving the cart around the course. The only slight drawback was that shipping took 6 days to reach Denver, which was a bit longer than I expected. Otherwise, it's a great product and definitely an upgrade from my old mount.

Detailed review of the Shaft Caddy 2.0

I recently purchased the Shaft Caddy 2.0 for my golf cart. Ordering was straightforward on their website, and I received a confirmation email immediately. Shipping took about five business days to my location in Texas, which was reasonable. The mount itself feels very robust and well-made; it's definitely not flimsy plastic. Installation was a breeze; it clamped securely onto the cart's uprights in under a minute without needing any tools. My iPhone 13 Pro Max fit perfectly in the adjustable cradle, even with its thick Otterbox case. During my round, the phone stayed perfectly still, which was great for using my GPS app and even recording a few swings. The rotation feature worked smoothly for switching between portrait and landscape. I didn't need customer support, but the product seems to live up to its descriptions. It's a solid accessory for any golfer looking for a reliable phone holder.

Reliable mount, great for golf

This is my third purchase from Shaftcaddy; I've bought mounts for my different carts over time. I got the universal golf cart phone clamp this time and it's just as good as the others I've had. Always consistent quality and they ship pretty fast. Never had an issue with any of their products.

I'm looking at the 1.0 vs 2.0, is the 2.0 worth the extra cash? What's the main difference?

J James Hughes 1 month ago
The 2.0 is definitely an upgrade. It's got better adjustability and feels more robust. If you plan on using it a lot, I'd spring for the 2.0.

I think the 2.0 has a more secure grip and better articulation, so you can really get the angle just right. If you're serious about recording or using it for GPS, it's worth it.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of these. Does it actually fit on any golf cart like it says, or are there some models it just won't work on?

P Phil 1 month ago
Yeah, pretty much. I've used mine on a few different rental carts, even an older Club Car, and it was fine.

Mine fit a Yamaha and an EZ-GO with no issues. I think it's designed to be pretty universal for the cart bar sizes.

Can you actually stack discounts, like a first-time buyer code AND a bundle deal? Or is it just one promo per order?

C Cleo Vargas 1 month ago
Nah, I tried that before. It's usually one code per order. The bundle deals are automatic though, so that's separate from a code you enter.

Yeah, I think it's always just one code. But the bundle savings are often better than a small percentage code anyway, so check those out.

How long does shipping usually take for these? I'm in San Diego and need it for a trip next week.

A Anna Beaumont 2 months ago
I'm in Arizona and got mine in about 4-5 days, so you might be cutting it close for next week.

Mine shipped pretty quick, I think it was less than a week for me in Colorado. They're based in the US so it's not coming from overseas or anything.

What's the return policy like if it doesn't work out? Is it a hassle?

W Wendy Kaur 1 month ago
I had to return one a while back (ordered the wrong version) and it was pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions on their site.

J Julia 1 month ago
Yeah returns were easy, did it last month. Just make sure you initiate it within the return window.

Does this thing really keep your phone from shaking all over the place when you're driving the cart? My current holder is terrible.

M Megan 1 month ago
Mine is super stable. It's built pretty solid so it doesn't really vibrate much, even on rough cart paths. You can record swings and it's pretty smooth.

It's way better than others I've tried. There's some minor jiggle on really bumpy stuff, but nothing that messes up a video or makes it hard to see the screen.

Is the Shaftcaddy actually better than like, a Rokform or something? Those seem really popular too.

M Marcus Beaumont 1 month ago
I've only used the Shaftcaddy but my buddy has a Rokform and says it's good. I chose this one because it seemed more versatile for different carts and devices.
3
P Priya Whitfield 1 month ago
From what I've seen, Rokform is good if you want to keep using the same case. Shaftcaddy seems more universal and maybe a bit sturdier for actual golf cart use without needing a special case.

Anyone know if the Shaft Caddy 2.0 can hold a big tablet like an iPad Pro? I use it for tracking shots and want to make sure it's secure.

D Dana Y. 2 months ago
I have the 2.0 and it holds my standard iPad just fine. Not sure about the Pro though, that's a beast.

A Amber 2 months ago
It should! I've seen reviews where people used it with larger tablets. I think the clamp expands pretty wide, but maybe double-check the exact dimensions on their product page just to be safe.
